This past May saw us test changes to the KV Had they proven agreeable, they would have been applied to other preferential tanks. As the feedback and testing showed, the reason you take these tanks onto the battlefield or bring them into your Garage in the first place is their preferential status and unique characteristics. In response to your comments, we went back to the drawing board to work on another round of adjustments. Here’s a look at where the current setup is falling short and how the upcoming changes address those areas. Tanks with preferential status are likely to get matched into two- or one-tier battles, where their status combined with combat parameters does more harm than good.
World of Tanks WZ-111 Alpine Tiger Premium Tier 8 Chinese Heavy Tank Marathon Mission Guide!
Since in addition to being very light, the tank was also very short half a meter shorter than the AMX , the driver used a reclined position and the gunner had to have his body halfway inside the hull, making turret traverse limited: The prototype is preserved at the Museum of Armour in Saumur. These prototypes featured a oscillating turret with a cupola for the gunner located along the turret centerline.
Jokes aside, WZ Alpine Tiger is a special edition WZ Chinese Tier VIII Premium heavy tank, if you are a serious collector or just want yet another Tier VIII Premium tank, you can now have your very own black edition WZ
Basically, some of the tank parameters that NoobMeter used had become inaccurate, either because WG had balanced or unbalanced tanks, or because they had added whole new lines and classes of tanks, the capabilities of which and whether they are overpowered or underpowered at the time of adding were unknown, and needed to be estimated.
For most players that play a mix of tanks PR would still be accurate as the deviations balance themselves out – in my opinion a much more accurate rating than the alternatives. However for some who only play a “mono-culture” of tanks it could lead to inaccurate results. So time was ripe for a spring cleanup and rebalance. With the help of my good friend crux and already mentioned NextToYou we reviewed the parameters for all tanks and made a number of adjustments based on available information from a number of sources, some of which weren’t available when NoobMeter was initially created.
As a result, the expectations on the following tank classes were on average lowered: The expectations on the following tank classes were on average raised: What does that all mean? The database is being recalculated right now. As that is done during today, your PR will change, in most cases very slightly. The general rule is that if it goes up you have to post on the forums about how PR is the best rating ever, and if it goes down then you have to go on a rage about how it is all a conspiracy against you personally and how the changes were not needed.
After that all settles, I hope we will be left with an even more accurate rating to assess player skill and performance in World of Tanks.

Experimental trials showed that the T was inherently unsuited to mount the larger new cannon, and work therefore began on a new tank. The bigger gun required a bigger turret and turret ring to absorb the higher recoil. This in turn necessitated a larger hull, as the T hull was simply too small to accept the new turret. The T thus took shape, marking an evolutionary improvement upon the T After work on the T M Ob’yekt modernization was abandoned, he and his design team started working on a new tank, called Ob’yekt The new tank had a suspension with six light road wheels made of aluminum.
The tank carried 50 rounds and was powered by a V diesel engine developed by engineer Artiemejev. The engine was placed on the bottom of the hull, a solution which reduced the height of the engine compartment.

Mar 03, · Comparing the WZ to the is a much harder task, as the has some similar strengths to the WZ such as a very strong turret, good view range and mobility, and an extremely well protected upper plate (even better so than the WZ’s).

It is widely considered to be one of the most successful post-war tank designs, remaining in production into the s, and seeing combat in the front lines into the s. The chassis was also adapted for several other roles, and these have remained in service to this day. Development of the tank began in and manufacture of the Centurion began in January , six prototypes arriving in Belgium less than a month after the war in Europe ended in May Centurions modified as armoured personnel carriers were used in Gaza , the West Bank and on the Lebanese border.
The Royal Jordanian Land Force used Centurions, first in to fend off a Syrian incursion within its borders during the Black September events and later in the Golan Heights in The South African National Defence Force still employs over Centurions, which were modernised in the s and s as the Olifant.
The WZ is by far a better tank. Hell I don’t even know why I’m going to bother keeping the Everything the has the WZ has, except better (Ba the UFP and gun depression).
Hey guys, Avalon here. Its that time again. Another new remodel is out. The FV Caernarvon Mk. After the recent changes to the Caernarvon, I picked it up and found myself quite liking it. So I decided it really did need a better visual model and there were a few things I didnt like about the WG model. See what actually changed after the jump. That initial dislike resulted in the ‘Historical Caernarvon Restoration’, which removed the OQF 32pdr gun and associated turret and replaced the gun with the more historical OQF 20pdr gun.
However it was a bit of a hack job, as I just used the gun from the Centurion Mk. This new remodel uses the original Caernarvon gun mantlet with the gun barrel from the Centurion, resulting in a better matching turret and gun mantlet. I also decided to spice the model up a bit. So you’ll see bits and pieces form my other Centurion remodels, like a light, and the turret basket which gains gear when you upgrade the turret.
This remodel is special though, as it also includes two distinct hull models. The stock hull is basically the hull from the upcoming premium the Caernarvon AX.
► WZ-111, Is It Worth It Now? – World of Tanks WZ-111 Review
Extremely tough upper hull plate and frontal turret Surprisingly strong lower frontal plate Good straight line speed, and terrain resistance makes up for lower engine power Cons: Very low rate of fire, poor accuracy and long aimtime Poor penetration Side armor can be unreliable when sidescraping Performance The plays much like a highly exaggerated IS-6, with even stronger strengths and even weaker weak points. It trades 20mm of side armor for an additional 20mm on its front, still heavily angled, giving it an effective armor of more than mm at the front.
The turret is also extremely thick and very well angled, capable of shrugging off shots from even tier X guns.

IrmaBecx About a year and a half ago, I issued a challenge to all Littlepard drivers. Armour, as you know, is all the rage these days. Enough to get a few bounces, but not enough to slow you down too much. What a few bits of useable armour does, is allow you to be more aggressive. And I liked the SU M1 too. It was a quirky tank, a quirky Russian tank nonetheless, and I always thought it looked really good.
This was before I drove Russian tenks at all. The Rudy dropped like a month later, and that was my first.

This tank guide will break down the WZ into key categories and help you with whether or not it is a good tank for you. It does have a few differences that sets it apart for better and for worse. All three guns have damage per shot with at tier 8 is very good a heavy tank. It has a poor aiming time of 2. The main difference between the guns is with the rate of fire where the IS-6 beats both the WZ and The WZ has 5. The WZ still has very good damage dealing capabilities and the main drawback to the gun is the lower overall penetration combined with poor accuracy.
Armor Moving onto the armor the WZ once again is situated between the IS-6 and in most scenarios.
